Hey everyone! Well, this past weekend my mom and dad came to Houston with all of my stuff that I had left behind in Searcy to help me move in. It actually didn't take long at all because I really don't have that much stuff. :)

For those of you who don't know, I just found out that my first client I will be working with is in Findlay, Ohio. (I am actually writing this post from Ohio right now). It is sort of ironic because I just moved into my house a few days ago, and now I will be living here for 3-6 months! Crazy huh. I will be able to go home on the weekends though which will be nice. Actually, they will fly me anywhere I want to go that is of equal or lesser value, so I might take advantage of that a few times.

Just trying to keep you all updated. I Hope everything is going well with each of you.

Well, I just made it back from Hollywood. It was a long two weeks, but I definitely learned a lot at training and had fun in the evenings.

I did a lot of fun stuff like going to Universal Studios, walking around on the beach, and going to the Jimmy Kimmel Live show... but I have to say that I am pretty proud of this super cheesy picture.

One night four guys and myself decided to check out the Hollywood sign and since we had a good view of it from our hotel, we were like: "Lets just walk"... 4 miles later we finally got there (8 miles round trip). It was fun though and I am glad we did it. Because of that though this is one of my most treasured pictures of the trip, ha.

Let me know how you guys are doing if anyone looks at this thing. :) I am officially starting my job this Monday so I will fill you in later.

Yesterday evening, I met Jason Kirksey and he showed me around the place where we will be living. It is coming along really quickly and I am definitely excited. It is going to be fun living with Jason and Jake for sure. The move-in date is going to be around the first week of July. I will put more pictures on here when we are all moved in. :)

After we were done looking at the house, Jason and I went to his parent's house to watch the Astro's game and the NBA Finals. It was nice to relax for a while and have some fun. Well, that’s it for now. Hope all of you are doing well. Email me and let me know what is going on with you if you have the time.

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I made it to Houston safely yesterday evening.

This morning, I went to the church I grew up going to and it was nice to see some old friends. It was funny though because everyone thought I was visiting like normal and when I told them that I was moving here they were shocked.

Well, speaking of church, I am headed that way right now. After evening service they are going to be serving ice-cream sundaes and I don't want to miss out on that, ha.

Well, this is the last post from Searcy, AR. The next time I will put anything on here will be from H-town (Houston, TX for those of you not down with the lingo, ha). I am pretty excited about the move and will try to keep you updated on what is going on. I am headed out tomorrow (Saturday) at 8am and will drive about 8-9 hours; pray that I stay awake :)

I have to make one last Wal-Mart run tonight so I better get off this computer.

Oh, I couldn't resist the title of this entry. For those of you who are not from Searcy, that is the new slogan :) Hope to talk to some of you soon!

To be completely honest, I hate packing. I really don't know of anyone who enjoys this process. It starts off with a hunt for free boxes. All I have been able to think about lately is where to find these things. I hit the jackpot last week at a local dollar store. I got a bazzilion boxes near their dumpster, brought them to my apartment, set them in the living room... and that is where they have been sitting. I have made a promise to myself though that I will start packing today; we will see how that goes.

I am making the official move to Houston on Saturday morning, so this packing thing, as much as I don't want to do it, will have to be done by then, ha. I will try and keep this thing updated to let you all know what is going on with me.

My Great Grandpa's 97th Birthday!

Today, my family and I took a 1 1/2 hour trip to Pocahontas, Arkansas to visit my dad's grandpa who had his 97th birthday. It was really cool to be able to hang out with some people who I hadn't seen in a long time and others who I had never met before. We ended up eating at a BBQ place with about 16 of my relatives on my dad's side; it was great. (The picture above is my dad, my grandfather, Erica, me, my great grandfather, and Dustin.

Its official, I have a car of my own now. Dustin and I have shared a car since we turned 16 which has been fine, but now that I am moving to Houston we sort of have to have our own.

It is a 99' Toyota Camry with 71,000 miles on it. I am pretty stinkin excited about it and I hope it will be a reliable car for years to come. As long as it gets me to work and back, gets good gas mileage, and doesn't blow up, I will be pretty happy with it.

Well... I think I am done with school for a while, I hope. In 5 short years I was able to double major in Information Technology and Vocational Ministry and earn an MBA. Hopefully, this will be the end of my formal education for a while.

In two weeks from now, I will be moving to Houston, TX and starting my first real job. I am pretty excited about it and I will try to keep yall informed about the exciting, random stuff that I am sure will happen over the next several months as I settle down in "H-town."

We had a bunch of people over to my parent's house the weekend before graduation to eat and hang out. It turned out to be really fun. We cooked out and played volleyball, croquet, football, and frisbee. Dustin took a projector, a screen, and a huge speaker from the Media Center where he works so we could watch a movie outside after it got dark. We ended up just watching the TNT Club video that Jeremy Denis put together. After that, we all hung out around the fire in the backyard and ate smores. It was a great night and I am glad everyone got to come.

A group of us went to a Travs game today and it was really fun. They ended up loosing to the San Antonio Missions, but it didn't really matter to me. Just being with everyone was great. There was a really good organ player who I origionally thought was a woman, but I found out later through Gabe taht I was mistaken. Oh well, he/she still did a good job. At the end of the night there was a free fireworks display that might have been more exciting than the game itself. Overall, we all had a blast and I am glad we got to go.
